Traveling these days can be expensive. Especially on airlines that charge extra for checked baggage. But even worse…if you are over the weight limit by just a few pounds, the charges are heightened even more! Have you ever arrived at the airport at the end of a trip, placed your luggage on the scale, and watched in amazement that your bag has gained a few pounds of souvenirs? Have you ever done the same with your own body after a vacation? While the cost of your bags may be annoying and inconvenient, it’s over and done with in a one-time transaction at the airport. However, the same is not true for your figure. (And you don’t have the option of removing items from your “checked-bag” body into the already-full carry-on!)
Next time you plan on vacationing, prepare in advance what your meal plan will look like. Even if you just bring healthy snacks like almonds, raisins, and high-protein foods that will keep you fuller longer, you are a step ahead of the game. Go shopping for groceries instead of eating at restaurants every meal. (It’s cheaper, too!) Buy normal foods for your normal diet for 2 meals a day, and then order light when you eat out. Heck, you can even splurge a couple times…after all it is vacation! Just don’t overdo it the WHOLE time you’re gone. (Even if it helps to have a few friends back home keep you accountable, text them when you are tempted to over-indulge!)
It’s also important to find time to exercise. Make it into a fun, family activity. Take a walk on the beach, play frisbee, race to a sand dune, etc. Renting bikes is always a fun tradition for my family vacations (even if it is so we can frequent the ice cream parlor, at least we are exercising it off!). If you are just going with friends, take walks, hit the hotel fitness center, go swimming…just KEEP MOVING! If you can’t keep up with your normal exercise regime…after all it is vacation!...don’t give up altogether.
Most people think of vacation as a time to escape from life. But how much more upsetting will it be when you leave your wonderful break from normal life fatter than when you went? All it takes is a little mental preparation and some self-discipline. Trust me, you will feel better if you prevent “after vacation fatness” syndrome by simply thinking ahead. And don’t let people harass you about it. Who cares if it’s a little bit more high-maintenance….your body deserves to feel good AFTER vacation, not just during it.

HGH-- Human Growth Hormone
Davin Guest | Friday, 09 March 2012 07:00
I know as I'm getting older that I want to be in better and better shape. I realized that my metabolism is slowing down as I'm aging, and I want to be able to work out harder with a smaller recovery time. Many people are learning more about health and nutrition and becoming proactive in changing their lifestyles. Are you one of them? If you are, you have probably researched HGH.
Do you work out (or desire to work out!) more than most of your peers? Do you have weight-loss or weight management goals? Are you trying to gain muscle, lose fat, and build your metabolism? If you answered yes to any of these, your body's production of HGH is in high demand. But how can you be sure you are producing enough? If you are considering using an HGH supplement, maybe you are wondering if synthetic injections are really as safe as they claim to be. But why would you want to even question putting your body at risk? It’s like saying “I know swimming is good exercise, so I will just dive head first into this swimming pool without checking if there is water in it or not.”
So what is a good alternative? Getting enough sleep (which is very important for your body to produce HGH) and eating nutritiously may not be enough. Nature's Youth provides a natural supplement that kick-starts the body's natural production of HGH—the safest form of HGH supplementation—in the ProGHR product. As part of a proactive prevention of poor lifestyle habits, our staff has been exercising vigorously for 3 weeks straight. We know firsthand that recovery time is very important. Using the ProGHR supplement helps us to feel invigorated and have that extra boost after a day of rest, and even gives us strength on the second or third consecutive day of working out.
SO with all the HGH hype flying around, settle on the natural supplement. It’s the safest way to stop the aging clock…and maybe even turn it back a few dials?
The Beach Body Boot Camp

"I recently began a journey of intensely looking at my lifestyle choices. I have always considered myself a healthy person. I played sports in high school, remained active during college, even in my extended overseas travels I ate healthy and exercised a moderate amount. Then I got married. I ate the same I always had (…but with maybe a little extra cheese and sour cream?), and I figured my metabolism would always be the same. I thought that I could do the same pilates workout 4 times a week and keep my decently-sized figure. I was wrong. I realized that adding that little extra caloric intake and sticking with the exact same workout routine was actually not doing anything for my weight maintenance. I didn’t want to lose weight necessarily, but I certainly did not plan on gaining it! Around November, I realized that my shape was changing…and not for the good. So I started cutting out dairy and meat all together. This helped my digestion a TON, but my physique was still the same. So, I buckled down and came to grips with the fact that maybe I should start a more challenging workout that included cardio. SO I did. 2 months later, I am still changing up my workout routine every couple of weeks to make sure I’m getting that extra calorie burn and challenge. I have never felt better! (I also started eating white meat to make sure I was ingesting enough protein...but I still run away from cheese!)
Are you challenging yourself enough in your workout? Try a new workout DVD series. The Beach Body Boot Camp (beachbody.com) encompasses many excellent workout regimes that will keep you working hard, will challenge your brain and body, and will give you the results you want! (To heighten your energy for powerful workouts, try Nature’s Youth Diet Lift 8 Hour Energy supplement, and for faster recovery time from intense workouts, use RSF formula.) So change it up. Don't settle for the "I'll just go on a walk" mentality. Learn how to REALLY work out your workout! Your body deserves it. "

The Key to Weight Management: SLEEP!
Davin Guest | Friday, 02 March 2012 05:17
If you’re like me, and many Americans, we tend to book up our schedules to the maximum limit. If only there were 32 hours in a day! But there aren’t. And most of the time, we are filling our schedules with too much activity and not enough sleep. Did you know that this over-stimulating, under-sleeping cycle is a huge detriment to your weight management goals? When we don’t get enough sleep, we don’t produce enough Leptin, a hormone released that helps regulate appetite. Conversely, we release Ghrelin, a hormone that doesn’t let us realize when we are full…which causes false hunger…which causes more caloric intake…and the cycle goes on. (Read what Jillian Michael’s says about it! http://bit.ly/ywdZLc). This also means sacrificing sleep to get in a workout can actually do more damage than good. (I have to tell myself this when I’m tempted to eat a late-night snack and use the excuse “I’ll just wake up earlier tomorrow to work out and burn it off.”) So, start giving yourself a little more schedule room for some shut-eye…and if you’re like me, some off-brain. Wind yourself down in the evenings. Read a book. Have a cup of sleepytime tea; talk with your family about your day to help your brain process and start to mellow, too. Even take a supplement to help regulate sleep patterns. (Nature’s Youth Melatonin Sublingual is a great supplement for regulating sleep!). Sleeping is your body’s natural way to regenerate, heal, grow, and function properly. So be proactive about not being over-active! SLEEP! You not only deserve it…your body demands it!

Kick It Up A Notch
Saturday, 03 December 2011 23:26
Well, I am one of those that loves his technology. I am also an Apple guy. I own an iMac, iPod Touch, and an iPad. Recently I boughtFitness HD for my iPad ($3.99).
This app is truely amazing. First off it looks great. Second it has a depth of content that I don’t think I will ever get to the end of. It has a library of more than 700 exercises, including videos demonstrating how they are performed and calories burned. Then there is the database of more than 300,000 foods, so you never have to wonder how many calories or fat grams that bean burrito had. There is a place to input and track your measurements and a calendar to keep a diary of your training.
All in all Fitness HD is a tremendous companion and ally in your quest for that elusive body….um, you know what I mean.
